Annoying notifications

I just bought this printer & it seems like just what Im am looking for for fin quality and a lot of features. But what is annoying to me off the bat is that no matter where I go on the Epson site, no matter what I want (download software, etc), it takes me to check boxes & options to get notified by Epson & partners, even if I have already signed up or answered. This is not only annoying, but it is confusing. I never know if I'm in the right place, or where the next click is going to take me.

I found the printer to be very hard to learn. I still haven't figured out how to get the picture a sharper brighter quality and to scan took a while to learn how to do all the steps required to get the job done. I'm not sure I would buy another Epson Printer

Fast delivery, 6 days via FedEx. Very easy install. Start to finish about 20 minutes, and that was because I followed the directions! Running on a residential wireless network, NetGear WND3700 dual band. One Desktop, one Laptop, one Mac Book, all in different rooms. So far, no problems. Print quality exceeds former HP Photo Smart and the old standby, Epson C-88. Which still works and will remain the standby.

Avoid 835, get 800 instead

The 835 is a disappointment related to speed. There is nearly a half minute pause between printing pages. I suspect this is firmware related. Avoid this model till a driver update comes out.

I print all my live on Epson printers. This is my fourth Epson printer I use for my general home office use. I bought Epson Artisan 835 All-in-One Printer after my Epson Artisan 800 died after extensive 4 years use. I'm very happy with product because it does everything I need. It's easy to setup and control and prints with high quality. It's not noisy and economical. I love Epson quality and reliability.

I think this is a great printer. I got it yesterday and I've used it a ton. It prints way to the edges of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. I had no idea it could do that. The pictures are beautiful, but I had a lot of trouble with printing without a border on 4x6 photos. If you turn off speed printing, it looks way way better! I had to find that out by trial and error. Two sided printing works well. The only thing I can't use is the fax machine because I have Internet phone service. It would have been helpful to be able to set the baud rate. Otherwise, love this printer!

The Artisan 835 printer produces great colors and is reasonable on the ink cartridges. (Black goes the fastest but it is used for printing documents and photos.)
The only "Con" I have found is Epson does not offer a disk for Windows 7 installation. They do have an updated file for download which installs the printer and scanner in Windows but I lost the print disk option. Also the AABBYY is not installed with the download.

2 weeks before I purchased the 835, I bought another brand all-in-one in the same price range. I was not satisfied with it so I returned it and bought the Epson. What a difference!!! Ease of use, asthetics, and most of all - image quality. I am a retired professional photographer so I am very picky. Thank you Epson for a reasonably priced quality product.
