Keeps cropping photos

I just purchased this printer yesterday and was super excited to try it out. Unfortunately, I had the same problem another reviewer had regarding cropping of photos. The first pic I printed was beautiful! The color was absolutely gorgeous. Then I printed a photo that I had previously cropped on my computer. This is where things get ugly. The printer is still auto cropping the photo that I already cropped so it is cutting off heads, arms, etc. Like the other reviewer, I tried everything to get it to not to do this. I literally spent hours playing with the settings to no avail. Also, when I scanned a photo to make a copy, the printer also auto cropped the copy. The copy was not nearly as bright or crisp as the original. I am very bummed as everything else seems awesome. I will be returning it tomorrow and starting the hunt all over again.

Printer Quality

The print quality lives upto and exceeds all expectations. Unfortunately I had some wireless issues due to a bad board and after two weeks of discussion a replacement was sent to me. It appeared to be a remanufactured machine so I called and a new one is being sent. I would still want this printer even with the issues. I can't wait until it is up and running properly.

Chose the Artisan 835 for our small business network all in one...Only the load of my HP Mini 110 - 3135 DX disappointed...It was not in the internal printer index and like most minis - no cd drive...Upon getting on the web to download encountered a driver center web site trumped to look like Epson...The initial download from Epson's site is printing test page garbage....Will have to call support!

My limited experience installing and syncing up wireless equipment has not been a factor in setting up my wireless network of two computers and my new 835. The operations are simple to implement and the instructions were easily followed and understood. I haven't yet tried photos, that comes tomorrow but if the instructions are as complete as the other features I do not anticipate any trouble. All in all I made a wise choice and highly recommend it to even beginners like me. Joe

I bought the printer for my wife who is neither computer or printer literite. When she tried it out the first time she was printing and editing pictures from the printer in a few minutes. She now no longer buys the throw away cardboard camers but is using a digital that was unused in a drawer for 3 years.

Artisan 835 - 5 Stars

This has been the best quality, easiest-to-use printer out of the box I've ever had. Even my 6-year old was printing with it in less than 30 minutes. The features and functions for the price makes it an incredible value. Two-sided printing (duplexer already attached), built-in CD/DVD printing tray, and dual paper trays make for an incredible machine. I couldn't be happier.

Both Sides Now

The printer took two hours to unpack, set up, and print. Once I configured the print settings in conjunction with the appropriate paper, the quality improved. However, the ink schmugged when printing the date on the other side.
I did waste a few sheets of paper, but that can happen with a new printer.
