I love the Epson 800 series. They print out very clear pictures and I have had almost no problems with Epson printers. I bought this one because I wanted to give a printer to my daughter. She i happy with my old one and I'm very happy with this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Forget it if you have a Mac

And want 2 sided printing. The only reason I bought this one at the same time I bought my MacBookPro was because it could print on both sides of the paper!!!!
Well, guess what! It doesn't at all with some operations of the MAC (BUT IT DOES WITH MY OLD PC).
On those it does, you have to go through 6 steps (click here & select xyz, then click in another window and select abc, etc.,etc.,etc.,) to get it to print on 2 sides...hardly what one would expect from a printer that advertises on its box and web site: "The Epson Artison 835 AUTOMATICALLY prints on two sides of the page!"
The only reason I did keep it was because I also have an old HP Laser printer that does print on 2 sides with the MAC as well as my old PC!!....And the photos are wonderful, even restoring old faded ones.
Get with it Epson and correct this problem FAST!
I would recommend it to a PC owner who wants a 3n1 with excellent photo printing.

Really nice EXCEPT for...

The printer works great. I do a lot of DVD and DVD insert printing and it handles it very well. The quality of the images is very nice.
THE ONE BIG PROBLEM with this printer and the reason I only gave it three stars instead of five is EPSON cut the Warranty in half from the Artisan 810. The 810 was two years and the 835 is only one year. That would indicate to me that they have had more problems than expected with the 810, and since this product is almost identical, it isn't going to fare well. That may or may not be true, but it is VERY disappointing that they would do this.
I will probably return it and get an 810 while they are still available, since, as I stated, they are virtually identical. At least I would have a two year warranty.

Good color printer

The printer does a great job printing color pictures. It is fast for pictures and for regular paper sized printing. I also like the way it prints directly on CDs and DVDs, although it is a little awkward getting the disks in and out of the machine. I also like the USB port for charging USB items. I'm using regular Epson ink and it seems to last for a reasonable amount of time. Although I've only had this model 835 for a few weeks, I've been using a similar 810 model for almost a year. This 835 printer is a replacement for the model 810 that I had for less than a year before the automatic document feeder stopped working. Hopefully this model 835 will be a little more mechanically durable than the model 810.

Epson 835 AIO

When I switched to Apple Computers our current AIO didn't like our new iMac and wouldn't scan from the Apple Computers. Bought another brand yesterday. Similar problem. Selected the Epson 835 today. Super unit. Easy to install on our wireless network. Great printer. Highly recommend it for Mac users. I do like the CD print feature. Epson is known for super photograph printing.
