Awesome printer!

This printer has been amazing. I'm glad I took the time to compare prints when these were on sale. The photo quality is noticeably better than other brands' more-than-three-color-ink models. The auto-duplexer is so extremely convenient if you want to print on both sides. It does add to the size of an already large printer, but that should be expected in this price range. The only thing I would consider improving on is the "push" required on the touchscreen, which drove me nuts until I figured it out. Not really a complaint, though.

Best Printer I've Ever Owned

The first thing I do when I get a new printer is to test it out. I really put it through it's paces. I love the Artisan 835's 6-color ink, in 6 different cartridges. I only have to buy the one color I'm out of!
This is the first wireless printer I've purchased, and setup was a piece of cake! I'm happy to say "bye" to the cable and its distance restrictions!
I also love the fact that I can print directly from my camera's memory card! I just insert the card into the provided slot. My computer isn't even needed (though available!) because the control panel is so easy to use! The resulting photographs look like they were printed at a professional photo lab! And I can copy as many pictures as I want from the card to my computer.
Being able to use my printer as a photocopier or fax or scanner or photo-lab or... printer; well, what more could I want? Talk about versatile! Oh yeah... the scanner software is so easy to use, even my not-very-knowledgeable uncle can figure it out!
Epson has made printers since long before the intenet existed. I should know... I've been a geek since 1982. I always buy Epson, though I have used their competitors' products. Epson's technology is always cutting edge, and their customer service is always excellent. My finished projects are always professional quality as well. And for icing on the cake, Epson has often offered me deals on their products that blow me away! Lastly, their products are built to last.

My 4th Epson Printer

They just keep getting better. The setup was siimple. I had dreaded the process of finding my local network then getting on it. No problem. The Epson installation process found it and here I am.
My wife is thrilled with the idea of printing from her little office in the sunroom. And my daughter in a nearby city is ecstatic at getting my RX620 that is still going strong after nearly four years of steady work. I can't understand the two or three reviewers who had negative experiences in setting up and operating this printer. Perhaps there is/was something amiss in their system overall. Too bad they are missing this good experiene

I have been VERY happy with this unit. Ink is more than a bit pricey . . . but . . . the results are excellent.

This is my fourth Epson Printer. I still have this new one plus two others on line and the fourth one was turned over to my son for his use. I just got the 835, but, it seems to work even better than those before it. Of course time will tell if it has the reliability I have come to expect from Epson. I have found epson to be a little more expensive in Ink usage. However, that has been off set by its reliability and quality of printing. The 835 does more than my previous Epsons in that it has duplex printing, scanning and is a fax machine. It's a little larger than most home printers but considering all it does that is not suprising. It would also be suitable for a small office type business.

not happy with color match

I tried some prints and was not satisfied at all. It prints okay from a card, but from Photoshop the color is not even close to what it should be. Also it leaves scratch marks on the print. I will be returning this printer if I cannot resolve these problems.
I only ordered this printer because it was on sale and I could not get another model because it was out of stock until after the rebate was expired.

The title says it all. Any thing which tries to do a number of things will not do all of them well, but will do each passably. The printer is what I use the most and it performs this function well. Its principal drawback is ink consumption and the ink is not inexpensive. If you shop around you can usually get a reasonable deal. The machine performs reasonably as a printer for household documents such as bills, etcetera. I have yet to use it as a fax or a scanner.

This has got to be one of the best printers my wife and I have ever owned. We had an Epson RX680 previously and was quite pleased with it, but we wanted a wireless printer so we could use our Apple products. Overall it's a great printer for the cost and as always Epson definitely knows printers.
