I bought my Epson Artisan 835 all-in-one printer , to replace my Epson 580 printer and it's still going strong . I needed to upgrade to the Epson 835 , for compatibility with my Windows 7 operating program . I was so delighted that my new Epson Printer is working beyound my dreams . It prints , Scans , fax and even prints exceptionally well on CD/DVD . This printer is a great choice to buy . I highly recommend it !!!!

Disappointing

Easy to set up but anti-climactic when printing in color. What my computer screen calls red and what my printer gave me (brown) makes it impossible to create color documents on my computer and expect the same to print out. Unless there's a way to tweek the conversation between my computer and this printer, the printer is going back!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was going to order the Artisan 840 but it doesn't come out until Sep and I needed a printer now. I removed the printer from the box and followed the quick setup guide and connected using the CAT 5 network cable. I use the MAC filter option in my router, so I had to add the printer MAC address before it connected, but it did it with no problem after the router was modified. The print is perfect. Sending a FAX from my PC is simple, after I read the help file that is included in the software CD-ROM. From your windows application, select PRINT and then select EPSON FAX printer and the fax is sent. I have read some critical reviews on the printer, but I suspect they are a direct result of someone not reading all of the setup instructions and interpreting them properly. I would definitely recommend the printer to my friends.

Epson Artisan 835 all in one printer

Print quality is excellant. It's easy to set up. While I have not used the fax feature to date it will be a big asset since it can distinguish between a phone call and a fax. This means it will operate without a dedicated fax line. I get an average of 4 faxes per month. Now I will not have to be home to turn the fax on, it will be automatic. Five color plus black makes high quality photographs.
