a nice overall all in one printer. Dependable, wireless and even prints onto writable CD's! Fax, copy, print, insert camera memory, makes coffee (just kidding) Epson is a good company that makes good printers. I with it held more paper but it works just fine....
I would recommend this to a friend!

The picture quality of this printer exceeded my expectations! If you are looking for a printer that does everything you need with great quality fax, scan docs or pics quickly, print reg paper, and print awesome pics this is the one for you!

3rd 800 Series Printer

This is my third 800 series printer. I had an 800 at home and bought one for my office. Now I bought a 835 for home and moved the 800 to another spot in the office.
The run without a problem, have plenty of versatility and they all use the same ink. I don't print much for photo or graphic, but when I do it looks good.
I just wish it held more paper since I use it so much.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Virtues of Artisan 835

I have been around for quite a while and used a variety of printers from just about every mfg. that makes printers and I am saying without equivocation, this Artisan 835 is one sweet machine. The print technology I experiencied in the Epson R280 that also printed directly onto printable CDss and DVDs. Now with the 835, all is built in so you just set the DVD or CD on the little tray and with a click of the mouse, you get a professional looking CD or DVD. The software that comes with the printer is uncomplicated yet includes just about everything a person needs to turn out great looking photos, presentations, CDs and DVDs. BTW, the CDs & DVDs get the same fine resolution as the photos.
I "love" the scanner part of this. The automatic document feeder pulls even my wrinkled papers thru and does a fine job at that. The resolution on the scanner and the printer are second to none at twice the price.
Check the specs and compare to any other 3 in 1 and you will find it is hard to beat. I have gotten a couple of the pictures wet and the ink did not run. Amazing.
This also has an area in a seperate adjustable paper tray for small photo paper sheets.
I also find that my cost per sheet compared to the other color printers I have used is considerably less, all things being equil.
I have found that skimping on purchase price usually costs you more in the end.

This thing, once configured, does everything I could want it to except make the coffee. Scrap bookers or people that do other manual layout work will love this thing!
I purchased the 835 to be the machine that everyone else in the house would use to keep away from my office machine (and out of my office) and now I don't use my own office machine.
Wireless, easy to use, instinctive controls, perfect for home use, worth the investment.

The printer seems to work fine, but the installation was aborted when the ink cartridges supplied were empty. I had to go buy some to complete the installation. I was hoping the the Epson ink approach would be better than other vendors. Hope this was an anomaly.
