[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does not seem as sturdy as my old mixer that is 18 years old. The outer part of the lift handle fell off the first time I used it. The motor seems to stop when mixing one batch of bread dough. This surprised me since it is a 7qt mixer and my older mixer (4.5qt 300w) can do it better. Over all just not impressed and frankly a little disappointed. Not sure if mine is a dud or these mixers have lost quality since my last purchase 18 years ago.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received as a gift and love it had the small one before but love the bigger bowl!l. love the extra speed also!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old kitchen aid is over 45 years old and still going strong. But was getting concerned about how much longer it would last. My kids gave me the new one! But it is difficult to put the bowl on. Love the new 1/2 speed. Flour doesn't fly all over anymore.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought this for me. When it arrived, it had a broken part on the end of the handle. He called KitchenAid and they sent me a new mixer within a week. They told us how to return the other mixer and the company paid to have it returned. The mixer is so nice and the company is amazing! KitchenAid stands behind their product!
Very frustrated with this mixer so far. The whisk and regular beater blade don’t make good contact with the contents of the bowl- it’s like it’s not set properly. I’m regretting not going back with a tilt head. I also haven’t had a successful pizza dough since using this mixer. Nothing has changed about my recipe or ingredients- so it has to be the mixer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been thinking about upgrading my Kitchenaid mixer for a few months. I do a lot of baking - especially around the holiday season. With my other kitchenaid mixer I couldn’t do double batches on some of my dough, but my new machine has a much larger bowl and stronger motor. I should have made this switch earlier - I’m so happy with my new machine. You’ve got to devote counter space though since it’s heavy and too much to move around to a cabinet.
If you don’t have a Kitchenaid mixer yet, do yourself a favor and purchase one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this mixer only twice so far and I already found a useless feature that actually cracked and broke apart on first use: the clear plastic cover has three hard rubber grips that are mounted on the plastic edge; one broke off when removing the cover for use after storage, and now the cover doesn’t sit properly around the bowl’s lip. Those clips are useless; my old mixer’s cover didn’t have this and didn’t need it.
That aside, the two times I used the actual mixer, I made bread dough doubling the recipes to make two loaves each time. The mixer worked well with the dough hook on Speed 2 as recommended. The mixer is large and heavy (about 20 lbs) and occupies quite a large footprint on my counter but it would be hard to store it away and bring it it every time I want to use it. It’s too soon to assess anything else, so based on two uses, bulk and heft, and an unnecessary feature, I’m giving this four stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It knocked a little on first use knocking did stop but hopefully it will go away waiting for second use
