[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is QUIET and Wow I can whip out a serious amount of cookies, pasta, sourdough bread with this heavy duty mixer and deep bowl. I added a plastic cover so I could chill things in fridge easily in same bowl.
I bought this last year and absolutely despise it. The cover is useless and flour and powder sugar fly everywhere and cover the entire kitchen. You cannot add ingredients without lowering. The beaters do not scrape the bottom. It doesn’t mix completely. No timer! Takes forever to clean. There is nothing about this that is good except the capacity. Regret buying this.

I bought this particular bowl-lift stand mixer a few months ago to replace a cheap one I bought online. Since then it has mixed a minimum of 4 lbs of bread dough every day with very few missed days. This equates to approximate 2 hours of constant mixing at low speed each day for the past 6 months - and not one glitch or hiccup. It tends to get a bit warm on the motor and shaft housing - actually almost untouchable - but cools fairly quickly as the heat transfers through the housing and into the environment. I rate this very high because it has taken on a sub-professional use that literally ruined the previous generic stand mixer I had, and continues to mix dough with no sign of giving up!
I thought that I bought a heavy duty mixer for bread dough and that I would get years of service out of it, especially since I only use it about once every two or three months. Many folks have said that their kitchen aid mixers have lasted for 30 years. I’m very disappointed that it has stopped working. First the switch seemed to be delayed and I had to turn it off an on to get it going. Now, it totally stopped on me while making a batch of bread. It’s expensive, it’s difficult to get it repaired locally, and it’s not a very durable machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received as a gift in order to make bigger batches of bread than my smaller Kitchenaid. I'm impressed with what this machine is able to handle! It kneads large batches of stiff dough with little trouble. So far, I'm very happy with this upgrade!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now that I have the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, I wonder how I've functioned without it! It does a fantastic job and making biscotti and home-made pasta is far more efficient! I am very pleased with my purchase!
