[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this for 5.5 years and then the freezer and ice maker stopped working. Loved it up until then. Bought a new one in black stainless. We'll see how long this one lasts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Started having major issues with water leaking, defrosting, loss of food 3/2011. Put in new coils and compressor. Still had problems. Lost a lot of food. Just bought a new LG because I really like LG and think this was just a fluke.

*This has been a wonderfull refer! The water filter is really advanced. The water is the best we have ever had.
* It is humongous. So far we have yet to over fill it. Even when it is mostly full, all of the contents are visible.
*The only problem is that it seems to be running all the time.

I bought this unit 5 months ago and am very pleased with it. Since we have the craft ice we find that we rarely use the ice from the door. The unit is very smart and tells me that the ice hasn’t been used in 7 days and to throw it out and start over. It’s always correct as the ice has now formed into one big block because the door is usually left open too long when loading groceries. Our fault. It maintains the temperature as we have set it and the surface doesn’t show fingerprints. Overall, very happy with the purchase.
