Great QUALITY

The Professional S series has a nice blanced weighted feel in your hand and this serrated utility is no exception. It is very sharp and with special formula steel it will stay sharp and strong use after use. A serrated utility is handy for citrus, tomatoes, cutting sandwiches, rolls or even sausages. Anything with a skin and softer interior.

I used to use a pairing knife for everything until I got this knife. I never knew how many things work better with a serrated utility knife. Take tomatoes, sometimes when you cut them with a pairing knife they smush and can ruin their shape. With this knife, the integrity of the tomatoes will remain in tact.

Great knife for small jobs

I love this knife because I use it for all the little knives the small cutting tasks. I use this to cut tomatoes and sandwiches so that the bread doesn't get smashed. The handle is very comfortable to use.

Handy knife for everyday tasks

I really like this knife for those little quick tasks. It's always sharp and ready to slice tomatoes or peppers, a crusty baguette or a sandwich.
Professional S is terrific line of knives. They feature a traditional straight bolster and a slightly smaller handle. As a result they are a little lighter than the new Pro line. I have owned one of these knives for years (more than 10). It has performed year in and year out, and I cook a lot. I sharpen it maybe twice a year, hand wash it and it looks like I never use it.

I purchased this as a replacement to the serrated knife that was part of a set many years ago. My old knife was dull and as far as I know a serrated knife cannot be sharpened. I was glad to be able to find the exact match to my set. The new knife arrived and it is the same quality as the original (I weighed them both and the new one has the same heavy handle as the old.) Very satisfied.

great for tomatoes

This knife is a great compliment to a pairing knife. The serrated blade is perfect for anything with tougher outside and a softer inside like tomatoes and citrus. The German forged steel and construction give a very sharp strong blade. The full bolster and traditional three rivet handle make it a true classic.
