The batteries suck. Imagine cutting your grass and 25 minutes into it, the battery does and you have to wait 30 minutes for the batteries to cool down. And then almost three hours for it to charge again. And then repeat the process again.

Hello Donald D. We are sorry to hear that the included 24V battery runtime does not meet your expectations. As we are not sure of the condition of your lawn, we are not exactly sure why the battery did not meet your expectations. The maximum runtime often applies to a flat, open yard. Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Here are a few tips to ensure the max runtime is achieved. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage, consider buying a second battery for larger lawns, mow in a straight line. If the grass has been left to exceed 4 inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait a couple of days and do another one-third, cut when grass is dry and walk at steady pace to allow the blade to work more efficiently. As the lawn becomes consistently maintained you will see the cut and runtime improve. Hope these tips help! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great trimmer that has plenty of power and isn't hard on batteries. I like being able to swap battery with other tools and plan to build up my collection of the 24v system. I normally like gas powered equipment but there is no denying how easy it is to swap in a battery and go. Having more than one battery means I can have one on charge if needed and don't have to stop longer than a few seconds though I don't have to with this setup, just a little over half acre to trim and around buildings, garden with no issues on one small battery. Cuts normal grass with no effort and weeds don't slow it down much at all. It's also lighter weight than the old gas powered ones I had before so it saves my back a bit there.
Bought this hoping that the "self feed" vs "bump feed" would work better. Does not. I still have to stop, open the cap, advance the string, etc. The single battery doesn't last through my front and back yard. Tried to purchase a second battery in store but they didn't carry it.

Hello Reynolds Revival. We are sorry to hear that your experience with the 24V 12" String Trimmer & Edger has not met your expectations. The auto-feed system is designed to advance the line automatically when the trigger is released and engaged, but if the line is not feeding properly, it may be due to how the spool is wound or if the line is stuck. Making sure the line is wound tightly and not crossed over itself can often improve performance.
Regarding runtime, the included 2.0Ah battery typically provides up to 20–30 minutes of use, depending on grass type and trimming conditions. For larger yards, many users find it helpful to keep a spare battery on hand. Additional 24V batteries are available directly through our website at www.greenworkstools.com, as well as through authorized retailers such as Amazon, Lowe’s, and Home Depot.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving our tools. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was unsure how battery powered lawn tools would be, but I am more than satisfied with the results! My wife loves mowing and now she can whenever she wants because there's no messing around with gas or struggling to start the mower.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Effective, Powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this combo for my son. I bought a similar 80v combo for myself about 4 months ago and it has been great.
not gonna lie the product is put together very cheap. i bought the 3 piece combo kit went to use it for the first time yesterday and the arms on the lower are broken and won't stay in the correct position bc the little piece that holds it on the side broke doesn't even thread into the piece. broke while pushing it and now just flops everywhere and can't use it. the weed eater doesn't even lock into place and just shuts off every five minutes. very poor product just stick to gas

Hello Robert31245,
Thank you for your feedback, and we're truly sorry to hear about your experience with the 3-piece combo kit.
We understand how disappointing it is to encounter issues right out of the box—especially with the mower arms not staying in place and the trimmer shutting off unexpectedly. That’s certainly not the experience we want for our valued customers.
Please contact support at 1-888-909-6757 or through chats directly on our website. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention—we’d appreciate the opportunity to turn things around.
