Unusable Battery Life

Fresh out of the box not even able to cut my lawn for 15 minutes until it runs out of battery. Just enough to make you mad that you started to begin with and your yard looks worse than if you hadn’t done anything. I can only imagine the 5 Star reviews are bot reviews or people living in Barbie’s dream house sized mowing areas. Truth be told it’s a waste of money and even getting a second set of batteries won’t solve the problem as the charging time VASTLY outweighs the run time. Will be looking to return

The 48v self-propelled lawn mower cuts up to 1/2 acre when using the (2) fully charged 5Ah batteries (included). The maximum advertised run time is based on no load. It is important to recognize that the Runtimes can vary depending on a few factors, including but not limited to if the self-propel feature is used throughout the entire cut, grass texture and consistency, cutting height, and lawn size. Please note, users must use (2) fully charged Greenworks 24V battery packs. Do not use battery packs other than Greenworks 24V. Ensure both batteries are charged 100%. If each battery has a different charge state, the run-time of the machine is subject to the lowest powered battery (For example: one battery is charged 100%, and the other is charged 50%, the unit will only run until the 50% battery is depleted). When using (2) batteries with different amp hours (Ah), the machine will run until the lower (Ah) battery is depleted. . Poor string feed

Bought this hoping that the "self feed" vs "bump feed" would work better. Does not. I still have to stop, open the cap, advance the string, etc. The single battery doesn't last through my front and back yard. Tried to purchase a second battery in store but they didn't carry it.

The auto-feed system is designed to advance the line automatically when the trigger is released and engaged, but if the line is not feeding properly, it may be due to how the spool is wound or if the line is stuck. Making sure the line is wound tightly and not crossed over itself can often improve performance.
Regarding runtime, the included 2.0Ah battery typically provides up to 20–30 minutes of use, depending on grass type and trimming conditions. For larger yards, many users find it helpful to keep a spare battery on hand. It fits my needs and price point as I have only a small front yard.
Ordered and received them kit as promissed. It was packaged nicely. Assembly was fairly straight forward.
Took a bit to charge up both batteries. Once done I got to mowing and I really liked the assist drive.
I was able to mow, trim & blow on one charge with enough left battery left to do it again before needing to recharge.
What I was paying a gardener this will pay its self off within the year.
I expect to get many years use out this.
It fits my needs and price point as I have only a small front yard.

Poor Runtime

We’ve used the mower 3 times and barely get through half of our small yard. Beware, up to 60 minutes run time, really means 20-30 minutes mowing and then waiting 2 1/2 hours for the batteries to charge. No option to return for dissatisfaction so I’m just out of luck. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Actual runtime can vary significantly depending on factors such as grass height/density, cutting height setting, terrain, and self-propel usage (if applicable). In typical residential mowing conditions, it is common to see shorter active mowing time, especially in thicker or taller grass.
To help maximize runtime, we recommend, mowing more frequently to avoid cutting overgrown grass. Raising the cutting height to reduce motor load. Ensuring the deck and blade are clean and free of buildup. Using a slower walking pace to reduce strain on the motor. Confirming batteries are fully charged and properly seated before use.
Greenworks 48V (24V x 2) 5.0Ah batteries generally takes 75 minutes to fully charge when using a Greenworks dual-port rapid charger. Charge times of approximately 2–2.5 hours are expected depending on battery temperature and charge level.

I absolutely LOVE this trimmer. It works much better than imagined and so much easier than my last gas trimmer. No more oil, gas problems, no pulling, much less shaking. In fact minimal hand irritation and so much more quieter than my old gas trimmer. Works fast and I get my full acre lawn worth of trimming done in a full charge. Very impressed with this and highly recommend if you are on the fence. Battery charges pretty fast right out of the box and its lighter and easier to use than traditional gas powered trimmers. Just 100% pleased.
