More convenient than a gas trimmer

Purchased this along with an 10" Greenworks string trimmer to take care of a one acre colonial era cemetery in Connecticut. Works well around all the gravestones and shrubbery. Already have replaced the string spool due to my heavy usage of the trimmer. Also bought a 3 pack of Greenworks replacement spools since I knew I was going to be doing a lot of trimming this year. Found it simple to install the replacement spool. A lot easier to carry around a large area than a heavy gas trimmer since I'm 63 years old.

Powerful with Plenty of Battery

I have a small city corner lot. This tool last plenty long to go around the entire property. The edging feature works great! The rotation of the pole works great to give me a good angle for edging the grass next to the sidewalk.

Makes yard work so much easier !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've got admit it, my time spent doing yard work has been made 100% easier thanks to adding this Greenworks string trimmer. On days when I don't want to drag out my lawn mower I love being able to simply whip out our green works string trimmer and easily give my yard a clean trim as needed. I also love how easy this string trimmer is to operate! I'm a fairly slim but short women at just 5 foot 2 120lbs and find this trimmer is very light weight and comfortable to use. Battery life on this green works trimmer lasts about 2 1/2 hours but it takes only 30 minutes to an hour to get the work I need it to get done. This trimmer definitely gets the job done fast and tears down weeds with such ease. I've been using this trimmer a lot lately to cut up the grass that grows through the fence extending into our driveway.
So if your in the market for a yard work tool that will help you save so much time but keep your yard looking good I highly recommend this Greenworks String Trimmer ! I honestly didn't realize how much I needed this Greenworks trimmer until I finally used one and now I can't picture my life without it.

Incredible Trimmer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an incredible string trimmer. It gets all the weeds I can't get to with a regular lawn mower and leaves the grass even. It has a good battery that last a long time. It also feels really sturdy and durable. This string trimmer is cordless so I don't have to worry about cables getting caught in it. This a really good string trimmer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Cordless Torqdrive string trimmer. I was actually surprised at how tough it was knowing it was a string trimmer. I also liked how light it was to pick up and use. It really helped me with fixing up my backyard.

The batteries suck. Imagine cutting your grass and 25 minutes into it, the battery does and you have to wait 30 minutes for the batteries to cool down. And then almost three hours for it to charge again. And then repeat the process again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As we are not sure of the condition of your lawn, we are not exactly sure why the battery did not meet your expectations. The maximum runtime often applies to a flat, open yard. Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Here are a few tips to ensure the max runtime is achieved. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage, consider buying a second battery for larger lawns, mow in a straight line. If the grass has been left to exceed 4 inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait a couple of days and do another one-third, cut when grass is dry and walk at steady pace to allow the blade to work more efficiently. As the lawn becomes consistently maintained you will see the cut and runtime improve. Hope these tips help! Decent equipment but disappointed with battery.

Have only used the tools once, but they seemed to do the job well. The trimmer was easy to work with and light. The blower nozzle felt abit cheap, but having not used one before I don't know if that is normal. It doesn't have alot of power but is good for removing the grass and dry soil from the patio. The battery lasted long enough for my small area and it really does charge quickly (less than 30 min). But I was disappointed that the 24V battery with these tools was a different 24V battery from my other greenworks tool. In the descriptions online it only indicates that the battery is a 24v lithium ion battery, not that it is different from other 24v lithium ion batteries by the same company. It did say 24v max on the box, but again it had images of the other tools I had. My dad bought a trimmer that looks the exact same as the one I have, but is apparently different, because the battery is interchangeable with my hedge trimmer.
So be very careful at checking the model number and battery of each piece of equipment you buy. They have models of each tool that uses each of the different batteries, even though they seem identical. I am very disappointed that the batteries are not the same and can't be interchanged.
