It is a regular waffle iron so your waffles will be thin unlike the thicker belgian waffle. It is a flat iron and does not turn or flip. It does make a tasty crisp waffle. The material is rather flimsy, i see no long term life here. Not steel or cast iron so not made for heavy usage. I expected a sturdier product from this manufacturer. Great for a budget starter unit.

It's simple to use, the waffles never stick, and there's virtually no cleanup necessary.

I make waffles once a week and finally replaced my 20-year-old waffle maker after seeing this every time I went to my local big box store. What made me buy it (in addition to the fair price) is the adjustable settings which means I have better cooking control over the different batters I use (wheat as well as gluten-free). Love the updated non-stick coating. I've had it now for two months and so far, it's worked flawlessly.

I am known as the waffle-meister at church. Once a month the men of our church get together for breakfast, fellowship and a devotion. I am on the team that cooks, and my specialty is waffles. My waffles are a perennial favorite, and I turn them out by the dozens. This waffles iron is my favorite. It makes the classic round waffles. Not the faddish Belgian waffles with the too-large holes that take way too much butter. This waffle iron is dependable, non-stick, and very low maintenance. I never use any releasing agent on it and i never wash it. I simply let it cool and wipe it down with a dry paper towel. This is my second waffle iron after the first one finally lost its non-stick coating after some 10-15 years of steady service. And 15 years from now I'll buy the same one again. (Maybe I'll buy it now and stow it away. You never know when they'll try to mess with perfection and I won't be able find it again.)

Pretty good! I have had this for about a month and have used several times with no issues. I don't feel like it's an issue that it doesn't have the "flipping" function and I feel like it's good value for the price. Perfect size waffles.
