There is no beep to let you know the waffle is ready. You have to watch it constantly so you don't overcook the waffle. The switch that controls the darkness-level is a little wiggly and doesn't seem to make much difference. The waffles come out really spotty with some bits brown and some bits still batter-colored. It's possible this is just because it's new, I may remember my last waffle maker doing the same until it was broken in after a few uses. Overall, I'd skip this and keep looking for something else.

This is the easiest Waffle Maker to use. Everybtime the waffles turn out perfect. It has heat settings and notifies you when the waffles are done. Clean up is quick and easy due to surface.

This waffle maker has been a great addition to or kitchen appliances. It very easy to use and the light lets you know when your waffle is ready. The only thing that could make this better is to add a sound to alert when the waffle is ready.

Received this product as a Christmas gift after the previous one was a victim of Helene. I would have preferred the exact one, it seemed more user friendly as it flipped over to ensure more even cooking and it had a little batter catcher underneath. So far we’ve had some issues with both. I guess as we use it more we’ll pick up some tricks and stop overflowing the batter and know what number to use. Live and learn:/
