After using someone else’s at a school function I flew out and bought one. I used an overnight rise, yeast recipe for the batter. We had light, fluffy waffles the next weekend.
I have used this unit a few times and I am satisfied with it. I appreciated the opportunity to buy a waffle maker that was not a Belgian waffle maker. I haven't really gotten the hang of the control with settings 1 through 5--apparently not temperature settings, but just time settings-- in which case, that's not really that useful to me. I just use a kitchen timer.
We have had waffles twice since we got this Cuisinart waffle maker and they are great. We need to use gluten free flour and sometimes that can add to a poor result, but we have had only great waffles and they come very quickly. The adjustable heat control is also a nice way to achieve the degree of brownness that one wants!
When I bought this waffle maker, I wasn't sure I would like it, but I do! The controls are accurate and the waffles don't stick to the pan, as they did in my old waffle iron.
