Being a competitive cook and all around food person, I thought I had every cooking gadget known...until Father’s Day. I received a waffle iron. Wow, since then waffles abound. Regular, potato, hash brown...you name it. We even keep emergency waffle batter in our refrigerator just Incase you need a late night fix. What an appliance.
I do like this waffle maker, but he only problem I have is trying to clean it. It is very difficult because the plates don't come out and you can't run it under water. I don't use paper towels as advised and I have to use a brush and cups of water to rinse; this is not sanitary.
I purchased this to make our own Waffles instead of buying them already made. The first time was the waffles came out just right. Just as I remember home made Waffles from many years ago. What we couldn't ear we froze in small packages and when we wanted a package we just popped them into the toaster oven.
I finally broke down and bought this new appliance. Our other waffle maker must have been at least 40 years old. We had had to use spray to get the waffle to release and at least 4 minutes to make one. Our new waffle maker made the waffles quicker and I liked the round shape that fit on the plates.t
