Inconsistent heating. Green light turning on without much logic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This handy little waffle maker tucks away easily in the cupboard, but most importantly, it makes waffles that are not too big and not too small. Even though it's nonstick, I found that I have to spray it with cocunut or avocado oil so that the batter doesn't stick to it.
It was exactly what I was looking for. I needed it right away and best of all it was on sale when I needed it. And for it to be a Cuisinart was icing on my cake! It works fabulous and did exactly what I wanted it to! Very happy!
The last time I had waffles from a waffle maker harks back many many decades ago in my parents home with one of those very large and extremely heavy waffle irons. On my sourdough journey I thought how fun it would be to make waffles, scrolled through dozens of waffle makers and bought this one. What a delight it is, perfect size for toasting my batch of homemade sourdough discard waffles, freezing and then toasting. Makes wonderful food gifts, everyone has memories of waffles from childhood or restaurants and these come out restaurant worthy in this Cuisinart. I highly recommend this Cuisinart model
