Decided to start making my own waffles and save some $$ and went with Cuisinart. Once I figured out how much mix to apply it was super easy to get great tasting (and looking) waffles each and every time. The maintenance on this waffle maker is about as simple as you can get with almost no cleaning required. I'd say it is almost foolproof! Well worth the purchase.

The waffle iron works well but gave it 3 stars because of the terrible smell when heating up. I thought it was just the original burn off in the first use but it still smells terrible!! It smells up the whole house for 2-3 days. Believe Its around 2-3 months okd now.

This makes good waffles. Our only complaint is that it does not have an audible alert telling you when the waffle is done, which is an important feature, so you don't have to always be in front of the waffle maker waiting for the light to turn from red to green.
