The Round Classic Waffle Maker is a budget friendly appliance. The light/dark 1-5 lever is too easily moved accidentally which might affect the waffle doneness you had in mind. It would have been helpful to have a buzzer or sound letting you know the waffle is done. I prefer a crisper waffle so the #5 setting was the best. Nothing fancy about this basic waffle maker. A little oil on the non-stick grates was helpful before pouring the first batter and after 3-4 more waffles are made.

Unit comes up to temperature pretty fast. No off setting. Works great for the two of us. Replaced a larger Belgian Waffle maker by Cuisnart.
