Nice ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the ice maker along with my top freezer refrigerator. The fridge I purchased is great. It has the recessed handles and looks so sleek. I do have an issue with the ice maker. It seems the ice turns into one big ice cube. With a few loose one on top. It makes a lot,of ice. Do I just need to put the ice maker button to off, when bin is particularly full. I don’t use that much ice. I probably would of been fine with just ice cube trays. But since water line was already there. I figured why not...thanks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this ice maker for a few weeks now (I purchased it for my new Frigidaire top-freezer refrigerator), and so far it works well. The installers of my fridge had quite a time trying to get this unit in properly, but once they did, it worked perfectly, and after a few test batches, I had great ice. One thing I am confused about is how to get it to stop making ice for a while so I can use up what it has made. There’s no sensor arm, and the stapled instructions that came in the box were taken away with the rest of the packaging by the installers before I realized they were gone. This is not a fault with the product, but I wish it were easier to find the answer. The good news is, it really cranks out ice! (If Frigidaire wants to respond to tell me how to turn this type of ice maker off and on, I’d appreciate it!)

Need Operating Manual!

Seems to be nice enough product and no trouble installing. Had install instruction but no operating manual included. Saw how to change the ice size in a response to a review. No install guide or user guide on the product page. Or specifications for that matter.

It gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s not anything fancy but it makes ice quickly and I LOVE the square design of the ice cubes. The negative is that the ice tends to accumulate toward the back of the tray and easily falls behind the ice bin.

Solid ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice maker was installed a few weeks after the refrigerator was delivered. The installation was quick and easy. The ice maker is solid and produces ample ice. The only drawback is the design in regards to the freezer shelving. Once the ice maker is installed, there is only one possible position for the freezer shelf, making the bottom section quite small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my ice maker kit and I am very pleased. It works great for a two person home. Not sure it would be good for a larger family. The size of the ice cubes are on the small size but compared to my other fridge that did not have an ice maker, I really like it.

I had the ice maker installed by a technician where I purchased the fridge prior to delivery and I think there are parts missing. Example, I do not see a Feeler Arm as described for most ice makers and another post here describes a test/service button. I have a green power button and there appears to be a place beside it where another button might go but there is no button, just a small hole. I have no instructions since they omitted to put them in. If someone can let me know if I am missing these pieces it would be helpful.

Great ice maker!

The default setting is programmed to make very small ice cubes (which happens to be our preference), but something to note. It was installed at the time of delivery, and we haven’t experienced any issues. Overall, definitely recommend!
