Could have better quality control!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the Microwave two days and the display went out. Called for Warranty service, took a week for repair service to get out. When they found the repair problem they didn't have the parts. Another week to wait for parts to get in and to repair. Waiting for the repair so one star?

I am very happy with my new microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new microwave replaced my over 20 year old Whirlpool microwave, which I loved and which was still working but had a crack on the door. As a result of my experience with my old one, I would not consider any other brand than Whirlpool! And, so far, as I am learning about this new one, it works great!!!

Less than thrilled

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a Whirlpool microwave with this newer model Whirlpool and I’m sorry that I was ‘brand loyal’. I had the old one for over 10 years and I was happy with it. This new model is nothing like the one I replaced. There is way too much touching of the control panel for even simple tasks. For example: I have to press ‘Stop/Cancel’ even after using the 30second feature and letting it run the full 30 seconds. That’s true for every function. I have to press ‘stop’ after almost every task. I feel like the functions are counterintuitive in most things. The difference between the 3 hood light settings is negligible. Because the panel is solid without any texture to indicate the different functions..it’s impossible to operate in low light. The ‘window’ panel is also deceiving as it appears large, however it has a solid border around it. So that means seeing the actual food item inside is hard to do from ground level. And the whole feel of the door and body is ‘tinny’ sounding..in other words :Cheap. I’m glad this was the first of my appliances to need replacing because I will definitely not be replacing the existing Whirlpool oven and dishwasher with any Whirlpool items. Overall I’d say all the features were changed for the worse..not what I’d call progress.

Disappointed in the wattage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The wattage is not high enough! I thought it was like my last Whirlpool microwave which was 1,050. The new microwave is 1,000. This makes a big difference!
