[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only thing I don’t like about this new microwave is that the exhaust fan turns on anytime you run the microwave. On older models, only the cooling fan turned on not the exhaust.

Nice Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave a couple of weeks ago and am generally happy with it. I installed it myself, replacing a Samsung microwave. The installation instructions were fair to good. The microwave has more features than the Samsung I removed but because of this, the controls are not at intuitive as they could have been. Perhaps when I've used it more that won't be an issue. Some Installation Instruction Issues:The installation instructions were not great – the English was poor in places, the instructions in some cases didn’t reflect the hardware (e.g. the damper installation on top of the microwave – which led to confusion as to what side to put the hinge of the damper – see last item in this list); the illustrations were too simplified and difficult to understand in some instances; the aft paper template had an upper line which was about ¼ inch from the end of the paper which raised the question of what edge (edge of paper or the line) was to be put against the upper edge of the cabinet/wall(?) – I used the line; and further cautions could have been added in some places (like which covers near the fan motor needed to be removed – I ended up removing the wrong ones and had to tape them back afterwards, then removed the correct covers); additional details could have been added (e.g. the removal of the wire connector on the fan motor – which area(s) on the connector to pinch to free it up – because it's in a limited accessible area; and there was no information on which side – fwd or aft – to put the damper hinge since it could be installed both ways (the instructions referenced an outdated illustration where it could only be installed one way). I actually ran the fan (with the microwave not installed) with the hinge in each position – fwd and aft – to test which hinge position allowed the hinge to move higher. I discovered that when the hinge was in the aft position (at all three settings – Hi, Med, Lo) – the flap only went up approx. 45 deg, whereas with the hinge on the fwd side, the flap opened fully to the 90 deg position. Correct or not, I installed the damper with the hinge in the fwd position.

Excellent with Reservations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new model is a big improvement over my 15 year old one that seemed to be losing power. My only complaint is I wasn't warned about the information scrolling over what to me is a tiny screen. I have some vision issues, so have to stand on a stool to get close enough to the screen to understand the instructions. Maybe over time I will memorize what it is instructing me to do for the most frequently used functions. My sales person did provide me with a PDF which helps.
