Great refrigerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement for built in KitchenAid refrigerator. My old refrigerator was side by side, I like this French door much better, seems to have more room and easier to find things.

Do NOT buy the panel ready version of this fridge.

It's a nice enough fridge regarding features and build quality, however, installation is a complete nightmare. This fridge is not counter depth and does not "seamlessly integrate into your cabninets like it claims. It will stick out and will not look seamless at all. If you want to hide your fridge or blend smoothly into your cabinets stay far, FAR away.
We're a new build, so had a fresh start and blank slate.Our installer spent hours on the phone with Kitchen Aid and even had the manuals. We did everything we could to prepare and were told many times that this would work and it simply does not. Nothing is flush, nothing lines up, and the fridge is ultimately desinged to stick out. This is not the fault of installer, this fridge is simply not designed to achieve the look it claims to give you. Unlike other integrated units that are properly designed, this will not give you the look you want.
Given how expensive this fridge is, and how unhelpful support has been, we have to stick with it and are now completely redesiging a section of our fully installed kitchen. It's a nightmare. Please do yourself a favor and keep shopping if you're looking for a seamless, integrated, panel fridge experience -- this is not the fridge you're looking for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freezer door had issues but addressed by Mfg.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few months ago and the freezer door had defects including sharp edges and a dented door. Sales company spoke to Kitchen Aid and I opted to get a new door rather than a different brand because I liked the style and inside of the fridge better than other brands. I received the new freezer door and I am quite happy so far.

Energy Efficient!

We ordered it as a panel-ready refrigerator and it looks AMAZING in our kitchen with matching panels to go with our kitchen cabinets. The interior of the refrigerator is roomy enough for two people.

Meets expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit fits into space where previous unit was, Design sleek and glossy black finish is very attractive and does not show fingerprints. Layout OK but would prefer if vegetable drawer could be opened without having to open both refrigerator doors. Otherwise lots of useful space in very useful layout in both the refrigerator and freezer.

Fits the Hole in my wall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older Sub-Zero fridge, and this unit fit in my cabinet hole perfectly. For the price, this is a great built in fridge. It holds a temperature, and the limited inside space is organized reasonably.
However, for the price I would wish that it would include other small features like a door alarm.
