Great features

This fridge, besides being attractive, is very functional. The door in door feature is a winner. The ice dispenser works well and does not clog up like our prior fridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far a great frig

This was a replacement for a Samsung frig. We've been so happy with this model. It's counter-depth which is perfect for our kitchen and the shelf arrangement is clean and open. I also love the door within a door feature. It's just been a few days, but given my past experience with higher-end GE products (convection oven and dishwasher) I think I'm going to really like this frig.

Noise Issue

It's been installed for 3 days now. Didn't notice anything unusual on day 1, but on waking up and heading into the kitchen we clearly noticed a rather loud hum/whining noise coming from the fridge. It has persisted ever since. Either something is wrong and it needs fixing or this is the true operating noise and it will be returned.
Shame really as otherwise it is a top-notch fridge, but when I can hear it from the other room, something is not right!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had it only a month and we are very satisfied with it. Only comment is to be careful removing the water filter. It can be easly broken. Order the free bypass plug so you always have it on hand incase of emergency need.

We Love It !!!!

My older GE finally bit-the-dust, so I went shopping for a replacement. I looked at several of the new entrants in the appliance marketplace. However, I could not leave GE since I grew up with GE appliances in my parents home that worked for years. I compared GE with other models and GE clearly stood out - doors felt sturdier, accessibility was easier, lots of adjustable shelf space, separately controlled storage bins, and just all-around satisfying quality product. After installing, the food and beverages stay a lot colder, the auto-water/ice dispenser is awesome, and the pull open freezed provides a lot of room. My wife and I are thoroughly satisfied and happy to have a new GE refrigerator -- French Model in a new dark brushed stainless steel exterior color that blends well in our kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!
