This refrigerator has so many great features. Love that the beverage door has a separate release that keeps the unnecessary complete door from opening all of the way.

Happy with our new GE fridge!

After owning a GE refrigerator for 24 years that was still working perfectly when we moved, we were drawn to this GE fridge when we were comparison shopping for one for our new house. This fridge has the French doors, wide deli drawer and ice maker we wanted, is very nicely lit inside, and has a convenient easy-access door for frequently retrieved items. The adjustable shelving works very well for us. The only (slightly) negative thing I can say is after having a side-by-side previously, it feels like inside the door space is a little limited, particularly on the left side where the trays are narrow.
We've only had it for a few months, but so far we love it. I would purchase it again.

We purchased our refrigerator in December and are very happy with it. We really like the French doors on top. We added the 2nd icemaker since we use a lot of ice here in Florida. We have not had any issues. It seems to keep temperature well. We don't use the door in door very often so I don't think I can comment much on it. Only design feature that I am not sure that I love, is the double wide deli drawer. I have to open both doors to pull out the drawer. I think I would prefer two smaller drawers, but that is just a personal use factor.

Gimmick kurig coffee on door breakdowns

We purchased a whole home GE profile appliance package . Washer has been repaired and eventuAlly replaced at about 10 months after purchased . Kurig French door profile frig repaired and eventuAlly replaced . Dishwasher leaks finally told there was a recall on the door vent and gasket.Unfortunately the floor warped before we solved the problem . The microwave filter access door latch broke due to poor engineering and the whole top rail had to be replaced . Double oven and burners still work after 15 whole months. Our neighbors in this brand new subdivision have the same issues with their GE appliances . Terrible .......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfectly O.K. Does the job

We've used this refrigerator for six weeds. So far, for the cost, this fridge is nothing special. We find that we don't use the door-in feature at all, but maybe it would be better for a family than just two people in the household? We miss having a butter dish area. There was a spill and the bottom glass was difficult to remove and clean. Two ice makers are great. We often have ice spill on the floor from the top dispenser. At first, the alarm feature was turning itself on/off all night and chiming. That's since stopped. The doors often don't close all of the way unless you close the left one first. Now, I'm in the habit of constantly checking that is completely closed. Having a cabinet-depth fridge is a plus.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the door in door feature

I was a little concerned before the fridge arrived, as we were moving from a regular depth side by side to a counter depth french door fridge. The freezer seemed small, but once we loaded all of the food into it, we had quite a bit of room to spare! I also love the door in door feature for drinks and snack foods for the kids, like cheese sticks and smoothie drinks. The motor did seem a little loud when we first received the fridge, but we don't notice it now.

Left a six year old Samsung that kept breaking down. We purchased the GE PYD22KBLFTS fridge after researching and talking with other owners. Lots of wonderful features. Note:it does run loudly. Not overwhelming but definitely is louder than the Samsung.
