Love the features

Like the overall appearance and style. Just perfect for my needs. Wanted counter depth but did not lose the interior capacity. I find I have more room versus my old 25 cu. ft. Refrigerator.

I've had this fridge for about 4 weeks. I must say upfront that I was limited on my selection because I needed counter depth, but this didn't affect my rating. It just limited my options from the few merchants I was willing to do business with. I got it on sale and it was a very good price which also motivated me to purchase this fridge. And, lastly, due to space considerations, I needed a counter depth which limited my options but does not impact my rating. Performance is what I expect from a new product. I like the auto fill feature but be aware the sensor is subject to miscalculating fill so don't be surprised if it over or under fills (sensor seems to have trouble identifying ice in the cup and filled the cup to the rim several times, but filled only half way on more occasions- just press sensor again and it filled the cup where it should). The thermostat holds products at the correct temp, the water dispenser fills glasses quite fast, it's quiet, drawers are solid and glide smoothly, and it's bright and illuminates well without shining light in your face. The door-in-door feature is nice and I opted for it since it was only $100 more than the non DID option, so I splurged. The temp options for the drawer is another nice feature though I find the changing colors based on temp selection to be gimmicky and unnecessary. Left door where the ice maker is located has very limited storage on the door, there are no dairy or butter shelves, and overall it is a small fridge but that's what you get when you get a counter depth fridge. Not that I have buyers remorse, but I should have opted for another side-by-side but I really wanted and needed the larger space to store large trays. There are two things about this fridge that affect my overall rating. First and foremost is the cheap stainless panels on the front. When I placed a magnet on the fridge then slid the magnet to reposition it, the magnet left a scratch on the finish. This is the first time I ever had a magnet leave a scratch on the finish by simply sliding it. Maybe I can buff it out, but GE should have selected better materials. The second annoyance has to do with the Quick Space Shelf. The shelf has a support bar on its underside that reduces storage by about one inch. Some might find this trivial- and it is- but, GE could have done a better job of designing this feature. Their competitors with the same feature have a better designed shelf. All in all, it's a good fridge, has features that I like (auto fill, lighting, drawers), and it was the right price at the right time. But the competitors fridge that I wanted (not available at this time and I needed a new fridge now) has a better finish, more drawer options, but lacks the auto fill sensor. Shop around but I still recommend this fridge if GE is your thing.

Great refridgerator

We bought this GE French Door refrigerator to replace our Side-by-side refrigerator and so far we love it. The door in door feature is so nice for the things you grab for several times a day, like milk, butter, and coffee creamer. Compared to the side by side, it is much easier to see what’s in the fridge without needing to dig so deep. Love the built-in look since it is counter-depth. Love all the features so far.

Nice Refrigerator But

got the refrigerator and within the week had to have a service call for the freezer door hitting the door above it and air leaking into the freezer department causing frost to form in the comparment. one week later wife opened the refrigerator and the handle came off in her hand. other than these two issue it works fine.

I purchased the GE Profiles refrigerator and love it! It is beautiful, elegant in my kitchen, loaded with features and the "door in door" feature on the right hand side lets you quickly and easily access family favorites without having to open the entire refrigerator! The "hands free autofill" lets you leave your container on a pull-out drawer knowing it will be filled when you press Autofill on the panel. Use it for pitchers, coffee, etc! With 3 custom LED lights for fruits and vegetables, you can designate which "drawer" needs the perfect temperature. The freezer has two sections with movable sections to customize your freezer needs. The GE Profile Series refrigerator is the perfect choice for your family and entertaining needs!

We upgraded from a Frigidaire and love our new GE refrigerator. The door-in-door feature is great for our young kids and the Auto-Fill feature is very helpful for when we are busy in the kitchen.
