Continual fan or compressor noise ☹️ Nice appearance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Gary Da - Thanks for your review. New refrigerators do run for longer periods of time than older models. Current refrigerator compressors are designed to run more than 80% to 90% of the time. Here is a link that details the normal sounds a refrigerator will make: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=15901
Depending on the placement of the refrigerator in your kitchen, you may want to place a piece of rubber backed carpet beneath the refrigerator to help reduce the sounds.
I am a bit disappointed in the refrigerator. It is so tiny in the body and about half the size of previous refrigerators I have had. It is difficult to fit my food in it. The doors are extremely hard to close. Fortunately, there is the door alarm to let is know that it remains open. The freezer does work well and I feel lucky about that. The door in door is a nice feature but the tubs that hold that food is odd shaped and hard to fit stuff. I like that the doors can take magnets but i wish it was easier to keep it clean
Just grateful we could purchase and have it delivered in short order. Our house was struck Lighting so our refridgerator compressor was taken out by the event. ok,It's ok, small ice container
