This feature is amazing. Now instead of waiting forever for your water to boil. The power boil feature allows the water to boils in a fraction of the time.
I specifically ordered this model because it was direct replacement for the one I had and I just wanted to carry out a straight swap. The current one had a thermostat problem on one of the rings and the price to get the thermostat replaced was almost as much as a new unit. The current unit was on a 30 Amp breaker, I was therefore surprised to find that the replacement model stated that a 40 Amp breaker was required. this meant not only did I have to have the breaker replaced but also the wiring needed to be increased from 10 gauge to 8 gauge. Considerable unexpected expense and if I knew that this was going to be required I would have chosen a different model, if you are going to have increase the power supply anyway there were a lot more options available. Imagine then my surprise when the unit was unpacked to discover that even though the unit required a 40Amp supply and therefore an 8 gauge cable, the supply lead connected to the unit itself was only 10 gauge, which is deemed as unsuitable for 40 Amps. So the question is, did I not need to have the breaker and supply line increased to 8 Gauge, or is the supply line attached to the unit underrated for the job?
I had the same previous model. Unfortunately the corner glass got chipped and a crack followed. The design of this cooktop is the simplset avalable and blends with out kitchen
