Cheaply made

Purchased a appliance upgrade for our new home and this is the upgrade we received. I have owned several dishwashers and I would never buy this model for myself! I bought a better one for my rental! Plastic tub, doesn’t dry dishes, loud, front panel flimsy, closes poorly and very little options! For an upgrade to a builder this is horrible!

Hey there, and thanks for taking the time to relate your experience to us. We truly hate to hear you are disappointed with your upgrade, and have concerns over the quality of the model and its drying performance. We know issues like these would be an inconvenience.
We build our appliances with quality materials that are built to last, and are confident the dishwasher will last a long time for you. We also strive to provide a quiet experience, and this unit is designed to run at a level of 59 dBAs, just above the level of moderate rainfall. We regret that this didn't result in a good experience for you, and your feedback on the tub, front panel and noise will certainly be sent to our Design team for future review and development; we always want to be aware of potential areas of concern. They'll also be informed of your concern over available options.
Regarding the dishes not drying, you might want to check that the water temperature is at least 120 degrees F. Using the Dry Boost option or a rinse agent can also assist with the drying performance. Additional troubleshooting steps for drying issues are available in the manual, which is linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000218-1.pdf .
You also may want to check that nothing is stopping the door from sealing if it's closing poorly. We hope this information is helpful for you, but if you continue to have issues our service department is available at 1-800-432-2737 and would be glad to help. If you have any other questions or concerns, we are always happy to offer assistance. -Sarah@GEA

Multiple repairs and still doesn’t work!

We have had issue after issue with this dishwasher. It came with our new build house and has only been used since March 31st. In April, we had to call to get a new latch since ours was so badly deteriorated. Then the control panel kept blinking the start button indicating the door was open. Person came out to fix it but bent our tub to make it think that the door was closed. Issue persisted and light still flashes and 4 parts for the control panel were replaced. Issue still persists and I am calling yet again to get it fixed. Hoping for a replacement this time since this is ridiculous for a supposedly new dishwasher. At least I hope someone answers the call since I keep getting transferred and I can’t make the appointment online for some reason.

We have had this dishwasher in our brand new house we only lived here for a month, its leaked several times ruining our floors and cabinets, and it never dries the dishes. They are literally soaking wet even the next day. I have let them sit in there for 2 days and they are still soaking wet. The door is very cheap quality as well. I do not recommend this product. We have always loved GE appliances but this is a disappointment!!
