Basket rusts immediately
on February 8, 2026

4 1/2 months old and the top and bottom baskets already have rust in several places and it's completely rusted under the silverware basket. The coating on the metal wires is disintegrating. We got an extremely expensive whole house water purifier and that didn't help. It's just cheap.

It’s just an average dishwasher. Cleans the dishes with no issues. Dishes are not completely dry even with boost cycle so I run at night and empty in am. Upgrade to better model if you can afford to.

We'd like to help offer tips that can help with boosting the cleaning performance for your unit. We recommend first checking that your inlet water temperature is reaching 120°F at minimum. This allows the detergent and food residue to fully dissolve. We also suggest checking that the water pressure is delivering around 20 to 120 PSI. Another important factor is the quality of the detergent, we recommend using Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. For additional troubleshooting tips, you can check out our article here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38933

Dishwasher installed in new construction home. We have problems periodically ever since we moved in - leaks a good bit of water onto floor on right side and wheels keep falling off.

We are happy that you have found this dishwasher to be quiet and easy to use. This dishwasher has a hard food disposer. The Piranha™ hard food disposer with a removable filter has a stainless steel blade that rotates at 3,600 RPM, preventing large particles from clogging the wash arms and ensuring consistently clean dishes. We are confident that this dishwasher will serve you for many years to come. Happy cleaning!

Seems to a decent job but very flimsy, hard to close, not easy to see lights on the control panel. Needs to dry on high heat to get dry. Could be quieter.

We'd like to assist with your dishwasher being hard to close and the drying performance. Please make sure there are no dishes or utensils that are preventing the door from closing. If this is not the case, we recommend scheduling service with our Bodewell team by calling 1-833-426-3393 or online here: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service. For the best drying performance, the water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend you run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. Additionally, you'll want to check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promotes drying by causing water to sheet off of dishware and glassware. Rinse aids such as Jet-Dry® can be purchased in your local grocery store. You can find additional information to help improve your dishwasher's drying performance here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451.

We are happy to provide guidance with this dishwasher. For help with dishes coming out clean we recommend making sure the dishwasher is connected to the hot water line and not to the cold water line. None of our dishwashers can heat cold water so that it is hot enough to wash effectively. A 3/8" O.D. copper water line or 1/2" O.D. plastic water line should be used. You will also need to ensure that the dishwasher is properly leveled. Improper leveling can lead to a number of cleaning issues, including affecting how well it can drain the dirty water from the tub. We have provided some additional tips to help with the dishwasher cleaning performance here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38933
