Hey there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. We truly hate to hear your dishwasher stopped working after six weeks; we know any issue with the appliance’s functioning would be frustrating to deal with, especially when the unit is so new. We’d like to assist.
You may want to ensure that there is no issue with the fuse or circuit breaker, and adequate power is getting to the unit. Checking that the control panel isn’t locked may also help. If you want to try any other troubleshooting steps to address your concern, we do have a section on troubleshooting in your manual, starting on page 19: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000218-1.pdf .
If you need an update from our Service department, they can be reached at 1-800-432-2737 and would be glad to help in whatever way they can. Our Parts department are also available if you wish to check on any updates regarding the availability of the part you’re needing; they can be called at 1-877-959-8688.
Notice of the trouble you’ve had, and the delay in resolving the issue, will certainly be sent to our team for review; we do value your insight, as we want to make sure we’re aware of any potential issues with this model. If you have any other concerns or questions, we’re always happy to offer assistance. -Sarah@GEA

We apologize for the results you are getting. Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. Run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. Check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promote drying by causing water to sheet off dishware and glassware. Rinse aids such as Jet-Dry® can be purchased in your local grocery store. If service is needed after checking these items then please call 1-800-432-2737.Hope this helps. We understand your frustration. Geoff@GEA
We bought a brand new house and it was installed, from the very first use it won’t latch shut and it won’t run a cycle, it feels very cheap. Not impressed

We apologize for the latch issue you are experiencing. A service call is needed to diagnose and correct the latch issue. You can call 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online. https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm -- Thanks for taking time out of your day to write this review. Hope this helps. Only used the dishwasher for about a month, and control panel wouldn't work. Had to turn the breaker off and on to do a new load. Repairman said the plastic was already warping, causing the door contact to not meet properly. Very cheap dishwasher, but it was the contractor-grade model that came with the house. This will likely be the first appliance we replace, since it probably won't last much more than a year.
