Useful but did not float

I used it with my GOPRO 13 black and a waterproof protective case. However, when I briefly let go it did not float! I bought it a couple of years ago. Is this a newer model? Looks the same as the picture.

A must-have for lake days

I primarily use my gopro in/around the water. This handle is an absolute necessity for me. 100% positive buoyancy gives me the comfort of knowing that if it falls off of the boat or out of my hand it will float for easy retrieval.

Worked Great First Day
on June 7, 2025

The first day I used this floating grip while on a 2 week snorkeling trip in Indonesia the small connector piece between the grip and the strap separated and a piece was lost on the boat. Ugh. I had to rig a new connection with remaining tiny string and large elastic. I would like to get a replacement strap if possible? Otherwise the grip worked great. I was able to let it float alongside me when not using. Grip dried quickly even in the humidity. Except for the failed connector, all else was fine. Also, one final recommendation, please make the thin string looped to the grip more flexible and add an extending capability. The small string regularly became tightly wound in the Indonesian currents. Thanks

Nice handle, iffy on floating

This handle feels pretty nice in the hand and is sturdy without being too weighty. The foam on the handle is a nice non-slip grip and comfort addition. I used to grip to take some pictures and videos and it felt comfortable for even several minutes of usage straight. A (potentially) big issue I had: I went diving, upon entering the water I tested the handle for its ability to float and it did, barely - but it did float with the orange end just at the waters surface. Went on a dive and took the GoPro down about 20 feet and tested it again - when I let it go it slowly started to sink. Unfortunately this handle seems to only float on the surface (or when it hasn't become waterlogged). If you dropped this off your boat or while swimming it may be fine, but divers beware, if you drop this during a dive it will probably end up on the bottom. I would still use this handle as it is comfortable, but if you are diving I'd recommend a better floating handle or tie something to the GoPro that will send it to the surface if you lose it.
