Makes great coffee but spills that greatness all over the counter. The carafe has a problem with dribbling. I am not a big fan of this carafe

Bought this one when my old reliable 20 year old coffeemaker finally gave up.
Without a doubt, this is the worst coffeemaker I have ever owned. The coffee is cold by the second cup. It is awkward to pour out of the heavy pot. Cleaning the coffeepot is hard to do because you can't get a washcloth inside easily so you need to use a long handled brush. The design is awful, to use it is awkward. This had to be designed by someone that hates coffee drinkers.
Sorry Cuisinart, you really blew it with this one...next time I'll buy a Krups...as soon as I can get rid of this clunker.

Worst coffee pot ever for one single reason…
The carafe spill water everywhere! What a horrible design flaw. Thank gawd I saved my coffee pot from my other coffee pot!
I wish I could get my money back! I don't have the time or desire to pack it all up to return it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second cuisinart 14 cup coffee maker. There are so many things that make it great and one flawed issue. First let me say I love have 14 cups, the different temps for the coffee(I like HOT), of course the easy timer set up, and waking to coffee ready in the morning. It is a little loud at the end of the making process but not worth fussing over. Makes good coffee, I use a pitcher to fill with water to make it easier to fill without spills. Here is my only real complaint....no matter what we do the carafe always spills when pouring. Other than that, when this pot dies from overuse, I will buy another just like it.

I bought this as the replacement and am very happy so far! The look is sleek and modern, easy to navigate, measuring spoon included (it’s ok) ,and I am looking forward to using the Over Ice feature!
My only concern is that the lid does not lie flat. It bows a bit; not sure what that’s about. It does not impact the flavor of the coffee so I am going to get over that!

I haven't had this coffeemaker long enough to have used all the features. So far, I am pleased with it. I'm a long-time Cuisinart customer and currently also have one of their crockpots and a food processor. I've had both of those items for at least 10 years and have been very pleased with so I expect the same with the coffeemaker.
