The coffee maker produces a great cup of coffee. All the controls are easy to use and make sense. My only disappointment is with the carafe. The cover is not have a hinged lid but a snap on...annoying. Perhaps this was done so the pot could easily fit in the dishwasher, however I never had a problem with my KithcenAid with a hinged cover.
With the exception of the filter basket shape, this is the perfect drip coffee maker. It’s programmable, makes more than 12 cups at a time, and is easy to set up. You can even decide how hot it keeps your coffee in the pot.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker is generally good until you pour your freshly brewed coffee. No matter what we do coffee spills all over the counter and the cup. So tired of it. Can I please get a carafe that's works?

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulty pouring from the carafe and understand how frustrating repeated spills can be. To help improve pouring performance, we recommend ensuring the carafe lid is fully secured and properly aligned, as an improperly seated lid can sometimes affect the flow of coffee while pouring. We'd like the opportunity to learn more about your concerns and determine whether replacement options may be available, so please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference Ticket #8901031638. Thank you for sharing your feedback—it helps us identify opportunities to improve future models and create a better experience for our consumers.

Coffee pot design is faulty - spill every time

I bought two of these for Mothers Day. One for myself, one for my mother in law. We both hate this coffee pot for the same main reason.....HOW ARE YOU PEOPLE POURING CUPS OF COFFEE WITH OUT GETTING IT EVERYWHERE? I do not understand how this pot has such high ratings based on that issue. This is not a cheap coffee pot...its so messy. A few other issues, the little measuring scoop that rests in the lid falls out every time you lift the lid...which for me leaves it falling behind the trashcan so I don't even use it anymore. The over ice setting brews scalding hot coffee so i'm not sure the purpose of it. Definitely would be sick if I had paid full price for this thing.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating spills during pouring can be. For improved results, we recommend pouring slowly with the lid fully secured and aligned with the spout, as well as ensuring the carafe is not overfilled; for the scoop, placing it securely in the lid groove may help prevent it from loosening when opened, and the over ice feature automatically adjusts the brewing process to brew a smaller, highly concentrated amount of hot coffee. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 and reference ticket #[8901025260 so we can provide additional support and review your unit. Thank you for your feedback—it helps us enhance future designs and overall user experience.

The good: It is easy to use and program. Great brews with a smaller amount of coffee than my previous coffee maker. The bad: You have to really push hard to get the pot in place. If you don't get the pot in place, it is a disaster. It's the only reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5.

I have owned Cuisinart coffee makers for at least 15 years. I have had this model for six months now and bought it for 2 reasons - large 14 cup capacity and the brew over ice feature. This model is not as good as previous 14 c model. I also had the brewing leakage as mentioned in some of the other reviews but as long as carafe is perfectly in place it doesn’t leak. And today I accidentally broke the glass carafe and now can’t find a replacement. Coffee does taste great and like the ability to use over ice. Would have rated a 4 star if could easily get replacement carafe

We’re glad to hear you’ve enjoyed Cuisinart coffeemakers over the years and that you’re pleased with the coffee taste and over-ice feature, though we’re sorry for the concerns with leakage and the difficulty finding a replacement carafe. For best performance, we recommend ensuring the carafe is properly aligned to help prevent leaks, and we do offer replacement parts; however, some items like carafes may be temporarily out of stock, so we encourage checking back for availability. Please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190 so we can assist in locating the correct replacement and provide further support. Thank you for sharing your feedback, as it helps us improve future models and offerings.
This is my 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker with burr grinder and the first I’ve been less than pleased about. I’ve had it nearly 2 months and it’s acting up on me. The last couple of weeks I thought that I simply didn’t have the lid placed carefully or else hadn’t quite set the carafe in place. But this morning there’s coffee EVERYWHERE, fully 1/2 the carafe is on the counter and on the floor. I suspected yesterday that I need to clean the burr grinder and tried to disassemble for cleaning but can’t figure it out !! And the manual doesn’t even address cleaning the grinder. Good grief what a mistake.
