The quality of the lights is great. The packaging is straightforward and the directions are simple to follow. Installation took some time, but is still easy enough. If you use the mounting brackets for each of the lights as extra support, you might have to predrill for the screws. Even then the screws are a bit soft and can easily strip on the top. Outside of that, they go up easy.
The lights are bright and pairing with the app is easy. Programming and controlling the lights is a little more challenging, but there's some helpful videos and guides from other users out there if you search. Very fun to switch between different predesigned options. I have yet to try to customize on my own, but having the option is great.
Makes Christmas (and the rest of the year) Much Easier!

Relatively easy to setup and now I never have to set it up again! Lights are customizable and very bright. Excited to see what we can do the rest of the year!!
Make sure you measure and only buy what you need, I purchase 200ft just to be safe and was left with almost 80ft of lights, I contacted Govee support to ask how I could go about purchasing the parts needed (power box and adapter) to be able to use the remaining lights in the back yard separately, but they refused to sale these parts as separate items. They wanted me to purchase a whole new set instead. No thanks! Makes me wonder what will happen if these part go bad in 2 -3 years. I will have to purchase a whole new set?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
