I'm so pleased with the results of the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro installation. It was a lot of work, I 3D printed clips to attach them to my house, and it's all been very much worth it. Since then I've added Govee Dots, Icicles, Curtains, pathway, yard puck lights, projectors, and motion/presence sensors and started using the light show box as well.
These are great lights only thing I wished was different was that they came with clips or something to hold the lights on as the 3M tape is known to lose its stickiness over time.
I bought better mounting clips than were provided. Each light needed to be secured individually and it was a time consuming project. Don’t plan on the adhesive holding, that isn’t going to be permanent.
I love the features and how they look. I was not at all impressed with support though. I reached out becuase I needed additional connectors and an extension and not only do they not have a way to sell parts, they did not even get back to me when I asked if there are 3rd party suppliers that have compatible connections. It is not reasonable to expect the kit to cover all scenarios and home layouts, so it just bad business.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hoped the pro model would have brackets to affix the lights and the 3M tape. While the tape is excellent, I live in Colorado Springs, where the sun shines intensely 350 days a year, and the temperature swings from day to night can be 40° or more.
My neighbor's Elite model came with nice brackets, while mine only came with wire clips. So, while I used those everywhere I could (note that there are not enough for every light on the string), I would prefer the nice brackets with the top-end model.
Otherwise, these are awesome. The Govee app needs a better "Apple" version. It is a little convoluted, and the lexicon used is a little odd. More Apple-like polish and less of a tacky Android app would be nice.
I like all the Govee products I have, including the heaters that were recently recalled. Unfortunately, they were reliable via HOOBS into HomeKit. Now I have to hack some Dreos into my ecosystem.
Purchase and delivery was prompt. However a week in the lights turned off. Support was responsive and are suppose to send me out a replacement controller and power supply though not exactly sure what they will send and when as the support reply was not as formal, felt like was some spam response. Replied back with some suggestions on how to make a customer feel comfortable to provide requested information and a complete understanding of what they are sending and a tracking number will be useful. Well it’s been about 4 days and hadn’t received the replacement. In parallel, researched online for the issue I was having with blinking power adapter light, turned out quite a few having it. Ordered a generic dc adapter online with spec output and received in two days and working fine while I wait for my replacement. We’ll see!
On flip side, lights look great, app requires getting use to as there are a lot of features that take some trial and error time. Suggest getting aftermarket mounts (as I did from other reviews) when installing as quite a pain to ladder up on two story homes with big peaks to install and you only want to do that once. Love the pro as the splicing was easy and love the ability to cut wherever and insert end caps…for the 200ft would love to have some extra extensions as you can be limited depending how many cuts you make.
We’ll see how things go, didn’t use up all my 200ft just yet. Will probably extend it thru side and back of house in spring…we’ll see if it the 200ft limitation includes all the extensions they include!
