I purchased this turntable as an upgrade to my U-Turn Orbit. I immediately noticed and appreciated the added weight of the Technics, far heftier than my old Orbit. All functions of the turntable work as expected. My only gripe is the raise/drop lever feels quite cheap. My Orbit had a metal lever but this one feels like plastic. A small gripe but it did stand out to me. I installed a Sumiko Moonstone cartridge and it sounds fantastic. I finally have a Technics turntable after several years of wanting one!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Rob! We are happy to hear you had a positive experience with the product! We value your input and encourage you to let us know more details about your experience with us.
Technics has always been kind of a mythical brand for me, so when I outgrew my entry-level turntable I knew one of their models was in my future.
While the classic SL-1200 series is the obvious sentimental favorite, auto-lift was a requirement, and I didn't need the pitch adjustments. I just wanted audiophile quality sound with a sleek, clean design. I already had an RIAA pre-amp, so the SL-100C perfectly fit the bill.
While the entry-level conical stylus this TT comes with is viable in a pinch, it requires an upgrade to allow the TT to reach its full potential. For me that was the Audio-Technica VM95ML. It swaps right in without any further adjustments, and the sound quality of this combination is truly astonishing.
Combined with the legendary quality of Technics, this turntable should last decades and likely be the last one I buy.

Hi John! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're thrilled to have earned your 5-star rating. It’s great to know that the auto-lift feature and sleek design fit your needs perfectly. We’re also glad the Audio-Technica VM95ML cartridge upgrade has unlocked the full potential of the turntable and enhanced your listening experience.
Purchased the sl-100c to add to my collection, so far so good. Soinds as good as my vintage technics. The only negative is there is no place to store the 45 adapter.

Hello Bruce! We’re so grateful for your 5-star review! Thank you for your support and for sharing your experience.
Very quiet and excellent rotation.. the cueing mechanism feels a bit cheap. Playback with a better cartridge is excellent.

Hi Bruce! Thank you for your feedback, we will consider it for future improvements. We deeply appreciate you took the time to provide us with your thoughts regarding the product.
I should have bought it sooner. Super stable speed most noticeable on piano music. tone arm as all the necessary adjustments including Pillar height. I had already bought the ML stylus for the included AT-VM95C cart so it was an easy upgrade everyone should make. The turntable is not light so get help if you need to and set up takes all of 20 minutes.

This table fully expresses the essentials of what made Technics an exceptional maker of turntables in their heyday and today. Absolute rock solid speed, low noise, and a tonearm well suited to a wide choice of pickups.

Hello Lewis! We're truly grateful for your 5-star review! Thank you for choosing us and for taking the time to share your positive thoughts.
Bought this to replace my AT-LP60X. First thing I did was swap out the stylus for the VMN95EN. It was an easy peasy swap. This is the first time I've personally did the tone arm balancing/adjustments. Honestly, I'm still overwhelmed at the thought of having to do it again. But I guess that process comes with the territory when you buy a nice turntable like this. I'm extremely pleased.
I'm giving it 5 stars for overall joy it's bringing me, though each of the categories are only getting a 4 star. I've certainly heard better TT and the stock stylus isn't the greatest. The auto return feature is... ok. It's nice to have. And the durability so far is great, but I haven't had it long enough to judge 100%.
Would buy again, based on my experience so far!
