One cup is all you need for a single serving and this little pot is perfect for that. The lid even has tiny self basting beads to keep food moist while cooking. I use this for cobblers and pies but can also be used for gratins and grains.

This cocotte makes an ideal size for preparing and serving direct from stovetop or oven to table. Your appetizer dip, sauce, side dish, or grains with remain warm when presented in this Staub piece.

Like this little cocotte alot. I use it to melt butter when we're have crab or lobster and warm one for each person. Stays nice and hot for dipping your fish in.

Perfect for warm dips for pita or chips, morning hot steel-cut oats, warming veggies or leftovers for one. Heats evenly, thoroughly and quickly. Goes straight from oven to table to serve, then to frig again. Easy to clean - soak and washes right out.

So this is most adorable Staub cocotte. We use them for individual servings of soup, chilies and chicken pot pies. The heat capability of this cocotte is amazing - heats up quickly and evenly, also stays hot for hours. It has self-basting spikes on the interior of the lid which collect and return all moisture back into dish - nothing dries out and the food stays moist. It goes up to 500F on any cook surface - we have even used them on our BBQ for an extra cooking surface.

I love how cute this pot is and I use it for side dishes because I can take it from the oven to the table because the cast iron with keep its heat even after sitting out. I love the handles on the pot because it makes it easy to take in and out of the oven. This pot is also very easy to clean and doesn't need any extra care like regular cast iron.
