Loved my Dyson until it abruptly died.

I bought my Dyson smallball multifloor from its original owner more than two years ago, which might put it out of warranty, unfortunately. Today I started it and within 30 seconds the engine died, and will no longer start. It was a wonderful machine, but as rugged and sturdy as it is I did not expect the model's premature death. Unless there is a reset button with which I am not familiar, the vacuum seems to be a goner, or perhaps you can familiarize me with some troubleshooting steps I could be overlooking.

Does it all!

Replaced my older model Dyson Animal with Animal 3 Gold. Picks up every long hair from my 65 pound Setter and the dog grooming attachment for removing dander is ingenious! The Gold Complete attachments address every situation effectively and completely. Safe for my Chinese Oriental rugs including a 150 year old hand knotted Chinese silk. Animal 3 is efficient on tile and hardwood floors too! Love my Animal 3!

Ball Animal 3 Complete to the Rescue

After researching for weeks, I decided the Dyson Ball Animal 3 Complete was best for me and my shedding Black Labrador Retriever. I am so pleased with the powerful suction and the ease of use, and it only took a few short days to adjust to the ball technology. It's amazing at removing the pet hair, and the tools are a plus, including the one that removes the hair from the dog. I highly recommend this for everyone especially the pet owner.

Love the vacuum hate the hose.

Vacuum does a great job. The hose isn’t easy to keep extended while using, it kinks back, if you tug it to straighten it, the vacuum lunges toward you at times or falls over. For the price, I don’t I don’t know why they hose is such a useless piece. I also wish the attachments were labeled or came with a book to explain what each one could be used for.

Good cleaning but attachment hose I dislike

I bought this a few days ago. I love that the vacuum is powerful. My only complaints is the hose and using the 11 tools that came with it, it is not flexible. You have to really tug on it to get it to move with you. I would suggest making a lighter hose. Secondly, you can roll it while it’s upright, it collapses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Over time and use, it will eventually become more flexible and pliable. You can fully outstretch the hose as well, leaving that stretched overnight to help expedite that process. I must 2nd the review below called "irritating quirks." The lack of information in the instructions is surprising considering how much this vacuum costs. Just pictures? It took my daughter and me about 20 minutes to actually figure it out. There's a part I don't even know what it does, been Googling it, so far still have no clue.The way the hose comes out and the extension is strange and not intuitive. The product does work well so far. I've only had it one day. However, overall, I expected more from such an expensive machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
