Works great but

Two dog home with carpet and wood flooring- this vacuum works great on both and always seems to pick up more than my Shark did. Only thing that I don’t love is that I find the hose and wand within it to be awkward to use (because the wand is about 2.5-3 feet) Maybe there’s a less awkward way to use it, but no instructions in manual.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This vacuum cleaner is so very good.
Easy to navigate around furniture, and not too heavy.
I am so glad that I purchased it.
Also very easy to empty it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One great new feature of this machine is the Anti-tangle Motorbar™ cleaner head, with suction control. The three levels of suction are controlled by the slider on the front of the head, and allow you to adjust that power to suit the floor type you're cleaning. Great vacuum for pet and people hair. The suction is great and leaves my house way cleaner than my precious vacuum. So worth the extra money. I have used mine on flooring, high carpet and area rugs and it does amazing! Highly recommended if you have pets in the home and need to control their hair and dirt.

Replaced my older model Dyson Animal with Animal 3 Gold. Picks up every long hair from my 65 pound Setter and the dog grooming attachment for removing dander is ingenious! The Gold Complete attachments address every situation effectively and completely. Safe for my Chinese Oriental rugs including a 150 year old hand knotted Chinese silk. Animal 3 is efficient on tile and hardwood floors too! Love my Animal 3!

Junk. Pure and simple

Have had it about 2 months. Cheaply made. Cheap plastic handle. A headache to use. Avoid at all costs.

Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. Too heavy, the main brush keeps falling off

I bought this model because it seems to declare the highest suction power. But it seems like when I use that flexible hose the suction power is much lower than when the main brush is used. Also, that flexible hose is super stiff, it is hard to used it without making the whole unit to constantly fall over. The main brush keeps falling off and is cumbersome to reattach, it leaves streaks on my wooden floor (mostly removable but very annoying), it seems to stop spinning / vacuuming randomly (I concluded it might depend on the bend angle). The entire unit is just very heavy: hard to maneuver and I worry the thin plastic stick might break at some point. The worst Dyson product I’ve ever owned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
