If you're looking for "the good ice" or "chewy ice", this is the machine you want! Easy set-up and quick freezing. We installed one day prior to arrival of 11 family members for a 6-day stay. Machine kept up with high demand easily. Distilled water is recommended and is easily available at most grocery stores. Easy to clean and descale. Descaling is recommended monthly in my area and takes 18 hours-the ONLY drawback!

My children gave us the GE countertop ice machine for Christmas. If you love Sonic ice you will LOVE this appliance. Set up was easy and it is so nice to be able to fix your own drink of choice with your favorite ice at home.

I really like this model we had one of the first opals that broke a lot but this was me has been better so far. The only thing I don’t like is how much it has to be cleaned. It wastes so much water. I only use distilled water so it shouldn’t need to be cleaned so much. At least it warms you to clean.

I love this countertop ice maker! Fits perfectly under my cabinets and is easy to clean! The ice pellets are soft type and the unit makes ample ice fast.
