This is a big improvement over the original

After my original Opal finally croaked I went without for about a month. I struggled with what to get because I knew I needed another. After weighing the differences in models I settled on the new 1.0 because of design and price. It is much quieter and easier to operate. The design is well thought out. I’m very pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!

High maintenance

Makes great ice….BUT, requires cleaning every 2-3 weeks! And for no reason at all the machine will start screaming like ice is stuck or the motor is broken and needs to be unplugged and then it seems to work for awhile again.

Short life span

I've only had this icemaker for nine months, I follow the manufacturers instructions by cleaning it once a month using filtered water. and it has started making a winding sound, and stopped making ice
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth the money

Very noisey and only lasted 1 year and a half. Many other less expensive ice makers on the market, don’t buy this one

It looks great and very attractive. When you need more water, a light comes on so you never have to worry about running out of ice unless guests come over and use a lot. If the bin is low on ice, it automatically starts producing more and takes about 13 minutes. Best of all, I'm drinking a lot more water these days because I really like ice and it's so easy to scoop and always available. Serve up chewy, crunchy and appetizing nugget ice for all occasions. Highly recommended.

I’ve never seen any other brands quite as good as this. I would highly recommend it and she is always a name to trust

Great countertop ice maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far one of the best countertop ice makers. Excellent for parties. The maker itself is a little noisy but doesn’t really matter because we used it during a party. Makes ice quick and continuously. Added the reservoir tank (sold separately) so we didn’t have to fill the main tank as often. The cubes are small, but great for party drinks. Perfect for entertainers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice maker is so efficient and easy on the eyes. It makes ice in about 20 minutes and is is delicious! The stylish design blends in with any modern decor. I don’t find the ice maker to be very loud. I use mine with the side tank (sold separately) so that I never run out of ice!
