So substitution for nugget ice

I can’t say enough about this ice maker. I had a generic brand bullet ice maker which has worked flawlessly for the past 18 months. But when you want pellet/nugget ice there is no substitution. So I upgraded to the Opal 1.0 with the side tank. The setup of the Opal was seamless and so easy I thought I was doing it wrong. But, once I re-read the instructions to make sure then turned it on and I had a basket full of ice in no time. The opal looks so nice in my kitchen too, so I don’t mind that it sits out on the counter. The Opal is very quiet compared to my previous ice maker and the nugget ice is so nice to crunch. My daughters will be so jealous when they see it!!!

Love my new ice maker

My children gave me my new ice maker after both of them got one. We love the ice and it doesn’t take a long time to make a basket full. The only thing that isn’t perfect is it is a little noisey and is less than an inch too tall to go under my kitchen cabinets. I would recommend it to anyone.

Love the sleek style

So far so good. I like the sleek style over that Opal 1.0 that I had. Rating it a 4 as I have only had it operating for about an hour or so but it is making ice quickly and so far everything is great!
Hopefully it will perform better than the last which after about 15 months began to have black specs in the ice and a moldy appearance on the inside between weekly cleanings.

The nugget ice maker is exceptional. My wife and I use the ice maker every day. We both like small cubes of ice and this is perfect for us. When turned on the unit makes ice quickly and efficiently. It produces large amounts of ice in a day. We are extremely pleased with our GE ice maker.

Nugget ice is amazing, and this machine makes it like a boss! Not sure how we lived without one of these for so long. Extremely easy to operate and clean, and not as loud as some reviewers made it out to be.
