Machine produces the best chewable ice cubes.
I like the self cleaning aspects and that I can add a water filter.

Very nice ice machine and works like a champ

This ice maker puts out ice like a champ. It fills the basket pretty quickly, within an hour or so. We got the side tank and would recommend it so you don't have to remove the basket to fill the bottom of more water. The only downside to this (and it's my fault as I didn't check) is how big/bulky it is. My friend has the other GE opal ice maker and it's compact but I don't like hers as to get ice out, you have to either pull out the whole drawer or balance it just right to scoop ice out. I do like this one as the lid stay open if you are getting alot of ice (which Ive been putting it in freezer bags for parties for ease) without having to balance anything.

Loved the ice maker so far! It makes lots of ice in a short amount of time. I love that it keeps the ice cool if you can't move it to the freezer right away. Easy to use as well!

The Good Ice

I wasn’t sure how well this ice machine would work but it’s produced enough ice daily for three people and hasn’t come close to running out. I decided to get the side tank which saves time on refilling the machine. My only complaint with it, is that it’s loud when the compressor comes on and the house is quiet. I was able to get it much quieter by placing some foam pad on the right side of the machine and setting it up against a butler table so it still vents properly but lessons the noise. All in all it make’s awesome ice and there’s always a supply of it.
