I feel that I owe it to Coleman and to anybody out there with a brain to write a good review for this product. If you are not an idiot, you will love this product. I just took it out of the package and put the batteries in. It works great and is very bright. Most people only take time to leave negative reviews. Just carefully close the battery compartment in reverse of how you opened it. Don’t try to turn the knob past the stopping points. It’s made of plastic because plastic is affordable and lightweight. I am fully satisfied with my purchase. If somebody had left a review like this when I was reading them before my purchase, I would not have been so hesitant for no reason.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don’t buy the junk Battery guard lanterns

I have two battery guard lanterns both are now junk as the cheap on off switch is broken on both of them. And no replacement knobs are available. This is crazy that you can not purchase new knobs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don’t order this product. The part where you put the batteries in you cannot get the lid closed. There’s some type of defect with this design.
