Battery compartment won't close

The battery compartment won't close, and I can't even get it off again. Won't work

Impossible to install batteries

The reason it saves on battery life is because you can never install them in the first place. We’ve had 4 adults and 2 teens attempt to get it open to put in batteries and we all give up. It’s now a paper weight. Save your money - the design is flawed.

This is not the experience that we want you to have. All the battery cartridges are difficult to open. Try using a coin to pry it open. Usually pops right open.

Reliable and bright

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Coleman lanterns on all my camping trips , I have 6 Coleman lanterns, all my gear is Coleman. I won’t use anything else .

Battery compartment design flawed

I bought this in Dec 2021. I just tried to use it today, Feb. 21,2022. I put the batteries in and now can’t get the compartment to close. We are in the middle of a ocean snowstorm and have no power. Bought this light specific for these issues. Bought Coleman on top of it due to positive brand experience in the past. Why do you not fix this design instead of just perpetuating the problem by continuing to sell. Very disappointed in this product snd Coleman.

A very good lantern

I bought one these days and I love it. The light is strong enough, material quality is very good, the size is good too. I have read some people complaining about the batteries compartment, about an issue. I don't have anything to complain. I can close and open very easily. I really don't understand what problem they have with it.
