Nice design, good battery power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toothbrush has a nice sleek modern style and takes up a lot less room on my bathroom counter than previous electric toothbrushes have. It works very well and my teeth always feel very clean after I brush and it isn't harsh on the gums.
In theory, I like that it has two different modes, but I honestly didn’t notice much of a difference between them other than a louder sound. I wish it had a third mode.
One of the best things about this toothbrush is the great battery life, I haven't had to charge it nearly as often as I expected. I'm able to keep this on my bathroom countertop unplugged to save electricity.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unfortunately great until a year later

Made the switch from a normal toothbrush and loved it. Really easy to use, feels squeaky clean after the full 2 minute timer. Unfortunately it’s now been a little over a year and it seems the inside mechanism is falling apart/leaking brown and black residue that stains my sink ceramic. It looks like rusty water or black oily sediment comes out of it when I turn it upside down or lay it sideways after brushing. I really wanted to like it and use it for a long time but it seems like my unit wasn’t really made too well. The problem started when I noticed a louder noise from the previously quiet motor; the metal tip started wiggling a little and you could feel the inside pieces wiggle with the tip, producing a ridiculously loud rattle during usage. Overall, I would be weary of spending on another sonicare considering it really only properly laster 14 months:(

Don’t buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the Sonicare brand isn’t anywhere near what it once was. I had purchased a new 4100, a lower end model to be sure, since the one I had bought around 2020 didn’t disappoint. The moment I charged it up and turned it on I knew that the device had been significantly downgraded. It was like brushing my teeth with a toy. I bumped it up to full power, but it was still limping along. Needless to say I returned it. My husband did some surgery on my original 4100 and replaced the battery (not for the faint of heart), but my teeth and I are much happier.

Lighter weight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toothbrush was a newer model for my old one. It's definitely lighter and the USB vs the standard plug is different. But it's not as powerful. Feels lighter in the intensity. May be good for someone with sensitive teeth. It does have the 2 min countdown with the 30 second intervals for the quadrants of your mouth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to return the toothbrush and get another style of Philips but I threw the box away. I don’t like the speed of the brush, it feels weak almost like it’s not cleaning my teeth

Hello. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here. We regret to hear your disappointment with the performance of your Philips toothbrush.

Before you move into an upgrade or other model, we recommend that you check if the EasyStart function of your device is enabled. If so, this might be the reason of its poor vibration.

Kindly disable this function and let us know if the issue persists.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not supplied with a normal plug end. Manufacturer will sell you one for extra cash. That's the green feature, less product for the consumer, more cash for them.

Not the 4100 you remember

If you've owned a 4100 from several years ago and are replacing it, please note that this is a completely different toothbrush. It's shorter in length, lighter in weight and has significantly less power. I find it somewhat misleading that it would be assigned the same model number as its predecessor.

Lasted a little over a year

This toothbrush started turning itself on after about 14 months of having it. It would start buzzing in the middle of the night and often there was no way to turn it off. I would have to hide it in a drawer and pray for its death...or the death of the battery. I can't believe I've been dealing with this for two months. It needs to go in the garbage. This product should definitely last longer. The rubber over the button is also coming off. It's just poorly made. I always wipe it down after use, etc.
