The Best Basic Barbie

Glamorous, modern look and poseable joints

It could be used for play or a collection, as it comes with a stand. Love that everything moves on this doll, all the joints can be moved for realistic play.

Beautiful Barbie silly

With this body and movement ability it makes it easier to dress and undress. The hair is beautiful for combing and styling. The outfit is so pretty and very well made. The unique look of the Barbie shows individuality and that is wonderful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dolls has multi position joints that are easily articulated. She comes with neutral tones and gold for clothing which is highly appreciated. Like all other Barbie basics having to stand as a plus.

Beautiful & Unique Doll

I chose her for these qualities, as I thought she was different from the usual pink, blonde dolls & that my granddaughter would appreciate that difference. She wasn't too thrilled because this doll lacks the usual perks of bright colors & fun accessories that kids enjoy. I think this doll would appeal more to older kids, teens, & adults because of her neutral color palate & lack of frills.
As usual, this lovely doll required an immediate redress by my granddaughter & then she was more acceptable. She does have a very pretty face and her eye makeup is exceptional. Her hair is long & soft. Her outfit is kind of bland but I thought the top was cute. The skirt will definitely be reused by my granddaughter because it is easy to put on & take off. The shoes were also cute & will get reused.
The articulation of this doll is the best part of her for my granddaughter. She loves posing & sitting her dolls on furniture or in cars, so this factor alone will mean this doll is played with more frequently than many of the other dolls she has that don't have this range of motion.
Beyond a less bland & more fashionable outfit, I would also have liked to have seen an accessory or two with this doll, like a purse, extra outfit piece, or even just a cell phone or cup of coffee. The older Barbie dolls that I bought for my kids were better equipped. I understand that leaving those items out probably makes her more cost-efficient but those little touches could make her stand out & increase sales. I understand making looser clothing that can fit all of the body types, but why not make separate fashions for each body type? I think creating the different body types was a great idea but not following up with better fashions to fit them was a missed opportunity. My daughter in-law is a curvy woman & I know my granddaughter would love to have a doll in her mother's shape with clothing & shoes that she could dress her in. I avoid purchasing the curvier dolls for her because of this lack of fashions to fit them.
Other than those issues, this doll was perfect & will receive lots of playtime with my granddaughter

Best Barbie

So pretty!

I have just recieved this beautiful doll and I am in Love! Her face is so very pretty and the choice of minimalistic yet bold make-up was right on point for her! A huge plus is that she is not pixelated. She has a sort of golden eye liner, with soft pink/mauve lip stick and very light dust rose blush.
Her jet black waist long hair is styled with a part in the middle and is very soft. She has a cross body top made from a fabric with a little stretch and a shimmery golden skirt with an elastic waist. Bothe are hemed all around the edge. She also has a pair of dark golden stappy platform style sandels.
Her skin tone is fair and she is fully articulated with a made to move body.
Great job on her!!
