Modern Barbie style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Daughter enjoyed this Barbie and really liked the style of a modern neutral fashion theme. The clothing colors are cute and the appearance of the Barbie with tone makeup was a great feature. The style of clothing was also different that most other Barbie’s vs the vibrant colors so we liked that it was different.

Barbie Basic, but not Basic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With "basic" in the name, I expected Barbie Basic to sport a simpler outfit. The doll itself is beautiful with a more natural Asian face (Model 6 with brunette hair). However, the outfit with the shimmer skirt and odd twist top and clunky wedge shoes does not work well with "basic". A simple and classic LBD seems more fitting. Or to stick with a natural color palette a simple solid one piece dress would have work better to draw attention to the doll itself instead and allow collectors to peruse more elaborate outfits to purchase to dress their basic doll.

Classy trendy neutral Barbie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very excited to have receive this Barbie for my daughter. My daughter was excited too! This Barbie is very fashionable but maintains her classiness. Her outfit is very cute, the criss cross crop top and heels are right on trend. I like the neutral colors used and the variety of skin tone and hair that was used for this line. I was torn between this one and the curly blonde Barbie with pants. My daughter has curly dark blonde hair and I thought this one would fit her best. I believe her features can relate to many young girls of different cultures from Hispanic, middle eastern to Asian or American. A very nice doll for girls.

Barbie Basics are definitely not basic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Barbie Basics line is far from basic! We received Model 06, but all seem to have fun, unique features. My niece described her as "giving glam, giving shimmer!" She loves the pops of gold, the hoop earring details, and the shimmer eyeshadow. She also liked that it wasn't a traditional blonde or brunette Barbie. She said she has a little more character and was different than her other Barbies. She's hoping to collect more the models!
