great product with bad quality control

Long story short, I had to exchange a number of quests to get one without dead pixels at launch
The device is great if but you may have to play the lottery to get a fully functional one without defects

Let me explain, you can tell they made an upgrade it looks amazing (for standalone VR) but let me tell you, these VRs just still don’t up to date, if this stuff came out 7 years ago when pc and console games still ran on 720 and 1080 graphics cards this stuff would be revolutionary but unfortunately quest is just behind, it’s a great upgrade I will not lie but it’s not a 732$ CAD after tax upgrade. First off If they improved the battery and made the storage 256gb right off the bat I still couldn’t even understand the price for what you get, yes I they made it more powerful changing the pixel quality from something like 1900x1800 to 2000x2200 (I expected more) but with the battery being unable to handle the power (which is basically only the same power it takes to run mobile games btw) it still fails to last longer than 1.5 hours, that means you have 90 minutes of real fun playing.. Even if you have to wait 10 minutes for your friends to hop on you’ve lost 15% battery just chilling in the home, and to be quite frank I didn’t spend 732$ to micro manage my battery. Everyone just says we’ll get the battery pack upgrade, upgrade to this blah upgrade upgrade upgrade blah, yes you could do all those things but I’m telling you we shouldn’t have to… you shouldn’t have to.. it’s that simple why are we letting companies make us pay an arm and a leg just to get a shred of comfort or a taste of good tech, after already paying an arm and a leg. I’m am completely unbiased towards quest and have no respect for this device, for the price of 3 second hand quest 2s this is certainly not worth 3x the quality. (Returning device immediately)

Love the Quest 3 as it is a giant leap forward with the XR and incredible hand tracking they have added. Highly recommend this one!

Best VR Headset for the money

Most versatile VR headset because of wireless pcvr capabilities along with it's standalone platform all while being cheaper and higher resolution than headsets 2x-3x it's price.
Cons:
Battery life
Recording quality of the passthrough looks way better than the actual on eye experience.

I love the quest line up and this is no exception, one small thing though my quest 3 came with a row of dead pixels, meta was quick to send a replacement. but besides that the pass through is amazing blade and sorcery runs like a dream and with tons of things lying around, cant wait for more games to use the quest 3 and embrace its new chip set. also if your only going to get the quest 3 for assassins creed or Asgard wraith 2, all those games will still be on quest 2. the quest 3 wont be getting any exclusive games until next year. cant wait for all the new possibility with the quest 3.

I am having the best time using this as a means of encouraging exercise. I can use the virtual walking trails whilst on the treadmill and visit anywhere in the world. Or do virtual boxing.
